Here's a really great tool for those of you who have trouble at times deciphering your favorite restaurant's menu. Even though it's posted on Men's Health website, I think this is great for everyone!

At long last, we have a new group name...WAM walkers! Carrie Lanzendorfer came up with our new name and will receive a $25 gift certificate to Elite Runners & Walkers in Robinson Twp.

Thanks to everyone who submitted a name. They were all awesome and I'm sure it was a tough choice for everyone.

Also, an extra special thanks to Jen McWilliams for heading up this week's walk while I was on vacation. Hope you all are ready to kick it up a notch next week--it's time to work on distance and speed!  :)

Walking Woes...What Ails Ya?

Let's face it. As much as walking seems like it should be easy, we all have aches and pains from time to time (or all the time). Whether it's aching knees and hips or exhausted tired feet, backaches or allergies, it's always something.

Okay, here are the rules:

1. One entry per person.
2. Deadline for submission is July 20.
3. You must have attended at least one walking group meeting to participate. No leeches!
   
4. Contest will only continue to completion if at least four (4) people make suggestions. The goal is participation folks!
5. In the event of a tie, I will recruit a tie-breaker vote from outside the group.
6. After all name suggestions are submitted, I will post a quick survey here on this blog and then everyone can anonymously vote. The creator of the name with the vote votes wins.
7. Once a name has been decided, we can talk about maybe t-shirts or water bottles or something fun! Or maybe we can all go out and get tattoos (just kidding!).
